Description

A claw hammer 20 oz is primarily used in carpentry to hammer nails into wood or pull them out of wood. Historically, the claw hammer has been associated with woodworking but is also used for other purposes.

A Claw hammer consists of a metal head and handle, which historically was made of wood, but can also be made of steel, fiberglass, or other materials. One side of the head has a smooth or textured back of the head and is used for driving, while the other is a pair of bent-down V-shaped claws and is used for prying – most often for pulling nails out of wood. The more bent the claw(s) and the longer the handle, the more force can be applied.
