GECA says, “Everyone’s a winner with GECA. GECA’s ecolabel on your products and services provides an independent tick to specifiers and purchasers that your products and services are better for the environment and reduce their impact on human health.”
GECA is an Australian member of Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN, please refer to the website: https://globalecolabelling.net/), a non-profit organization that sets the global benchmark for ecolabel excellence. GEN has 37 members across nearly 60 countries. Membership is a rigorous and independently verified process, making it a powerful trust indicator. GEN members support each other with shared knowledge, networks and resources. This makes it simple for governments and businesses to cut through greenwashing, make better decisions, and stimulate the global market for sustainable goods and services. GEN is the leading network of the world’s most robust ecolabels.
GECA developed an effective relationship with the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA, please refer to the website: https://new.gbca.org.au/). and produced over 50 standards for sustainable performance across the life cycle in around 40 different product categories. GECA has developed its own rigorous standards, following ISO 14024 principles for global best practices in Eco-labeling, which are then independently assessed by third-party Assurance Providers.
